“Scratch a dog and you’ll find a permanent job.” -Franklin P Jones
The first thing you will notice, when making a grooming appointment is that The Mutt Puddle is not a “rack and stack” shop. We do not ask you to drop your pet off first thing in the morning where he/she will wait in a cage until a groomer gets around to them. It’s entirely too stressful for the dogs. When you call, we will make an appointment just like a hair salon.
Upon arrival, you will be met by the groomer or bather who will be working with your pet, giving you the opportunity to explain the services you desire, directly, to the person who will perform them. Once the groom/bath is complete, you will be notified, immediately, that your pet is ready for pick up. This process keeps cage time to a minimum and stress levels lower. Should your pet require a cage-less service, we do offer an expedited appointment for an additional fee. Pick-up should be within an hour of notification. If you cannot pick up within and hour, arrangements will have to be made at the time of the booking.
A kennel fee of $5/hour will be necessary for late pick-ups .
Grooming isn’t just about making a pet look good. Grooming is an important part of overall care. Regular care removes dead hair, keeps the coat and skin healthy, and provides our professionals with an opportunity to check the pet's general health status.
Grooming is by reservation only and we recommend calling several days in advance, especially for a weekend or pre-holiday appointment.
The Base Pricing includes: full massaging bath, hand blow dry, brush out, coat trim or shave, nail trim, ears cleaned, bandana/bow, and cologne (if desired).
The Final Price may differ, slightly, from listed prices based on coat condition and cut. Aspects such as matting, behavior, or extensive scissor styling will add time to the groom and increase the price but the owner will be contacted as the process proceeds and an approval will be solicited before any additional services are performed. Neither the pet’s owners nor we like surprises when the price may need to be upgraded.
